The City of Belfast painting is a fold out page that was published in the History of Belfast 1770-1875 as viewed from Roger’s Hill.

Below is an actual photo from 1885 that shows the farm house that is central to the City of Belfast painting. The harbor had frozen over that January. The photograph is from the book “A Day’s Work”, Part 1, compilled by W.H. Bunting.
